A look into Curzon Ashton


Curzon Ashton play there home games in Ashton Under Lyne at the Tamesdie Stadium which can spectate up to 4,000. They formed from 2 clubs in 1963 who were Curzon Road F.C. and Assheton Amateurs F.C.

There current manager is Gary Lowe and there Chairman goes by the name of Harry Galloway. They are currently playing in the Unibon First Division North and are sitting in 13th place out of 21 teams. There current sponsor is Greggs and they go by the name of 'The Blues'.

So far this season they are in the 2nd round of the F.A Cup after beating Exeter 3-2 on Saturday at the Tameside Stadium. With the goals coming from Worsley, Ogoo and Norton. Most people will remember Agoo's goal most as his fantastic dipping half volley over the keeper sent 'The Blues' 2-0 up. James Ogoo, formally of Oldham, is a current Gambian International and is probably the fittest player at the club according to manager Gary Lowe.
